James Robert ""Jim"" Egan

Jim, a ninety year resident of Denver, passed away on October 8, 2017. After serving in the US Navy during World War II, he graduated from Regis College. He co-owned Egan Printing, which was founded by his grandfather in 1891. He married Elaine Minot in Denver Sixty six years ago. Together, they had 8 wonderful children. He is survived by his wife, Elaine; seven children, Kathleen (Dennis) Machlica, Howard (Roslyn), Eileen, Nancy (Tom) Tearney, Mary (Ken) Krehn, Steve, and Paul (Cindy); nine grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, Edgar and Mary Egan; siblings, Patricia, Tom, and Margaret (Chet) Poremba; and daughter Helen Egan. Funeral Mass for Mr. Egan will be held at 10:00 AM on Friday, October 20th, 2017 at Risen Christ Catholic Parish, 3060 South Monaco Parkway, Denver. Interment will follow at 2:00 PM at Mt Olivet Cemetery, 12801 West 44th Avenue, Wheat Ridge, Colorado. Please share memories and condolences with the family in the Guest Book.
