James Patrick Griffith

November 10, 1993 — February 27, 2017

James Patrick Griffith (JP) ""Life is either a daring adventure or nothing. Security does not exist in nature, nor do the children of men as a whole experience it. Avoiding danger is no safer in the long run than exposure."" – Helen Keller. Mom, without you I would've seriously starved to death in high school. Luckily, I can now make Mac & Cheese, so I'll survive through college! Thanks for letting go of your motherly instinct to protect me. You've made it possible for me to turn life into the daring adventure that it was meant to be. ""Life should not be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in a pretty and well preserved body, but rather to skid in broadside in a cloud of smoke, thoroughly used up, totally worn out, and loudly proclaiming, 'Wow! What a Ride!'"" – Hunter S. Thompson. Dad, whether I'm cave diving, kayaking, or flying inches above treetops, you're always beside me laughing as we both nearly die. Together we've had some truly wild rides. You inspire me to live my life to the fullest! To my friends, thanks for putting up with my bizarreness.
