James C. 'Jim' Harvey

Jim passed away peacefully July 19th at his home surrounded by his family. He is survived by his wife of 64 years, Shirley, and 5 children, Jerry (Jodie), Peggy (Bill), Patti (Ron), Jim Jr. (Deborah) and Paula as well as his sister Geraldine (Howard). He also was the grandfather to 12 children and great- grandfather to 6. Jim was born in Philadelphia, PA but chose to move to Colorado on his own for senior year of high school. He graduated from Cathedral High and then Regis College. Jim was a school furniture salesman, a business owner and was also a volunteer at Kaiser Permanente for 17 years for which he earned the Channel 7 News ""Everyday Hero"" award in 2006. He was a devoted husband, father and grandfather to his family. A Rosary Service will be held on Wednesday July 25th at 7:00 pm and Funeral Mass Thursday July 26th at 10:00 am, both at Blessed Sacrament Church, 4900 E. Montview Blvd, Denver. A Reception follows the Mass in Campbell Hall. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to the Blessed Sacrament Parish.
