James Lee Horn Born in Broken Bow, Nebraska on January 15, 1943 Married Connie Stapp on October 23, 1963 Died on January 8, 2008, resided in Aurora Colorado Jim was born in Broken Bow Nebraska and was raised on a ranch in nearby Calloway. Jim went to high school, graduating in McCook Nebraska. Jim wanted to further his education and attended McCook Community College and chose accounting as his career. Jim and Connie then moved to Denver and Jim attended the University of Denver where he gradated in 1966. The following year Jim earned his CPA license and was certified in August of 1967. He began working for Marion Hutchison and the firm became Hutchison Horn & Company, which is what it is known as today. Jim stayed and worked with the firm for four decades up until his untimely passing. Jim was very passionate in certain areas and had very civic minded interests. They included being a member of the Jaycees, Kiwanis, and also the Aurora Chamber of Commerce. He was nominated for The Outstanding Young Men of America Award. Jim served in leadership roles in these organizations and proudly served his community for several years. Another area Jim had a deep interest in was politics. He worked on campaigns in earlier years dating back to Governor Love and Colorado Senator Bill Armstrong. Jim also enjoyed his beloved Broncos, going fishing and trips to Hawaii and Las Vegas. Jim and Connie enjoyed a love filled marriage for forty-four years. They went on to have two children, Tiffiany and James. Both Tiffiany and James (Ty) each got married which lead to several grandchildren. These children were a great source of pride and love in Jim's life. He was truly blessed to have them as they were equally blessed to have Jim as their Pampa. Jim was truly a gentle and kind, as well as a compassionate man. His love for his wife and the rest of the family was intense and limitless. Jim also enjoyed deep and long lasting friendships. Several of his closest friends were clients and employees. Their support through this trying time has been greatly appreciated by our family, and is a true testament to their friendship with Jim. A message to Jim from ""our"" family: All of us from Connie on down will miss you greatly. The void in our hearts is painful and will hopefully ease with the passing of time. Memories are a great source of healing and we have shared many, many happy and love filled moments with you. Rest peacefully with our God, as life is eternal. And I am proud to say that you knew that. Tribute written by Ron Oreskovich Celebration Of Life Monday, January 14, 2008 Ten O'Clock in the Morning Horan & McConaty Family Chapel 11150 E.
