James Russell Hummel

Hummel, James R. ""Jim"", 76, passed away Friday, December 9, 2011, at Swedish Hospital. Jim was born in Columbus, Ohio, on July 23, 1935. He served in the Marine Corp, as a drill sergeant during the Korean War. Jim was in the car business for 40 years. He and his wife Eileen owned Impala Motors on South Broadway. He loved to play golf and fish. Jim is survived by his wife of 36 years, Eileen. Children; Terry Osborne, (Rob) of Owensboro, KY, Joyce Hummel , Littleton, CO, Tracy Vaughn, (Mark), of Littleton, CO, David Newton, (Cecilia) of Arvada, CO, Rochelle Keffer, (Don) of Lakewood, CO, Rick Newton, AZ, Judy Lytle, (Jeff) of St. George, KS. His son, Jeff preceded him in death. Grandchildren; Brandon Hummel, Kevin Vaughn, Brad, Ryan and Derek Osborne, Randi and Geoff Keffer, Austin Harte. His brothers Charles Hummel, (Sharon), Columbus, OH, Randy Hummel, (Hela), Spokane, WA, and sister Mary Brewer, (Bud) Lancaster, OH, His brother Ted Hummel preceded him in death. Visitation Wednesday 4-7 P.M. Funeral service Thursday 12:30 P.M., both at Horan & McConaty, 5303 E. County Line Road, (West of Holly).
