James Hynes

James Joseph Hynes passed away peacefully on February 11, 2023 at the age of 75. He was born in Denver, Colorado on March 23,1947 to Daniel and Ethel Hynes.

On June 10,1972 he married Carol Worth at Holy Transfiguration Orthodox Church in Denver. It was Jim’s great joy to be received into the Orthodox Faith on April 16, 2022.

In 1974 James graduated from Metropolitan State University with a double major in history and economics. He worked as a service technician for Nobel Sysco Foods for 30 years. He loved to travel, his favorite destination was Ireland where he had many relatives. He enjoyed camping and fishing with his family in Oregon. He took great pleasure in coaching his sons in baseball and basketball.

His loving and generous spirit will be greatly missed. He is survived by his wife Carol, children Rory and Ryan, his brother Dennis. preceded in death by his sister Patrica, brothers Daniel, Michael, John, and Terrence.

Funeral service for James  will be held on Monday, February 20th, 2023 at Eleven O'clock in the morning at St. Luke Orthodox Christian Church 722 Austin Ave, Erie, CO 80516.
