Jim Larsen, a long-time Denver resident, passed away September 25, 2007 at the age of 84. He was born and lived in Salt Lake City, Utah. He served in the United States Army during World War II, and was active in the Battles of New Guinea, Leyte, and the occupation of Japan. He attended the University of Utah. He was the General Agent for John Hancock Insurance, in Colorado, at the time of his retirement. Jim was preceded in death by his first wife, Loydce and is survived by his daughter, Lyn Larsen and two grandchildren, Zach and Alexis. He is also survived by his good friend and ex-wife, Jane, and many other friends and relatives. Jim was a wonderful man, with a great sense of humor, a love of family, and he will be missed by all who knew him. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, October 2, 2007 from 3:00-7:00 p.m. with Funeral Services on Wednesday, October 3, 2007, at 11:00 a.m. both at Horan & McConaty Family Chapel, 5303 East County Line Road (just to the west of Holly), in Centennial, Colorado. Interment follows at 1:00 p.m. at Fort Logan National Cemetery, Pavilion "A", 3698 South Sheridan Boulevard, in Denver, Colorado.
