James Edward Lawson, 63, died at home on November 30, 2019; surrounded by family. The cause of death was cancer.
James was born December 7, 1955 in Stoney Fork, Kentucky. After high school graduation he joined the US Airforce. He moved to Colorado in 1976 and started a telecommunications business, Tricomm Systems, with his partner Bruce Cliff in 1985. James survived Bruce in 2013 and continued to run Tricomm as sole owner until his death. James was an avid motorcycle enthusiast and a member of High Country Cruisers, a club for Honda, Valkyrie owners; serving as treasurer. His hobbies were gardening, skiing, biking, fishing, hunting, camping and taking drives through the mountains. His family will miss their annual Christmas tree cutting.
James is survived by: his wife Robinn Ford (Denver, CO), children Amanda and Tyler Davis (Lakewood, CO) and Katie Ford and John Maynes (Lakewood, CO), grandchildren Rowan and Jaxon Davis (Lakewood, CO), his parents James Roy and Gladys Lawson (Frankfort, KY), and siblings Debbie and Johnny Lee (Frankfort, KY), Frank and Stephanie Lawson (Pheonix, AZ), Alan Lawson (Frankfort, KY) and Tim Lawson (Frankfort, Ky).
A celebration of life service will be held Wednesday, December 4, 2019 at 2:30pm at Horan and McConaty Funeral Home located at: 1091 South Colorado Blvd, Denver CO. Family and friends are welcome to attend the service.
