James Lee Littlejohn

November 29, 1973 — October 8, 2018

James Lee Littlejohn, 44, of Castle Pines, Colorado passed away Monday, October 8, 2018. Lee was a loving husband and father leaving behind his wife of 19 years, Kristine Wewel Littlejohn, and their three children Dallin (10), Hunter (8) and Reece (8). Also grieving this loss are his mother Alice Curtis, stepfather Richard Curtis, birth parents Steven Schwope and Leslie Nielsen, stepmother Nannette Schwope siblings Merrilee Leinweber, George Schwope, Nina Schwope, and Tonia Schwope, and grandfather Maurice Gail Nielsen. Lee is preceded in death by his father James Littlejohn.

Lee was born in Spokane, Washington on November 29, 1973 and spent most of his growing up years in Lakewood, Colorado where he graduated from Green Mountain High School with the Class of 1992. He earned a BA in Speech Communications from Metropolitan State College of Denver and most recently worked at IMA (healthcare management) for the last seven years.

Lee and Kris met in high school at Green Mountain, dated in college, and were married on August 14, 1999. Lee proposed marriage in a hot air balloon, joking that he did it that way so she couldn't say no – ""You couldn't get away! What would you do? Jump?""

Lee loved to sing and would sing anywhere he had an audience. If you were a guest at Kris and Lee's wedding, you may remember him singing ""Somebody"" by Depeche Mode.

Lee had a fantastic sense of humor, was compassionate, and had an amazing ability to connect with anyone he met. He enjoyed golfing, playing board games, artistic oil painting, and spending time with friends. He was a student of politics and current events, and was passionate about history.

Lee also had many outdoor adventures with his family such as hiking, looking for fossils, and fishing. He cherished these times with Kris and the boys.

Family and friends will remember Lee (aka Robin Hood) for his charisma, his humor, and his ability to always make us feel loved.
