James C. MacLachlan, 87, passed away Saturday, June 26, 2010 after a long illness. He was born January 13, 1923 in Detroit, MI. He honorably served in the United States Army Air Force during WWII and was stationed in England, France, and Germany. James graduated from Wayne State University in 1948, and Princeton University with his PhD in Geology, 1952. His last position was Professor of Geology at Metro State College of Denver. On October 20, 1950 in South Hadley, MA, he married Marjorie Hindle, who survives. Also surviving are nephews, Michael (Cindy) Clark of Calgary, Canada; John (Karrie) Clark of Westminster, CO; Niece Suzanne Grimm of Dumont, CO; and two great-nephews and -nieces. Memorial Service Thursday, July 1, 11:00AM at Horan & McConaty Family Chapel, 3101 S. Wadsworth Blvd. Private interment Ft. Logan National Cemetery. Followed by a Reception, 1:00PM, Pinehurst Country Club, 6255 W. Quincy Ave., Denver, 80235.
