James Dale Ralston was 71 when he passed away at his home in Denver, CO with his wife Mimi, and his son Jason by his side, on April 2, 2020.
Jim was born in 1948 in Chehalis, Washington and is the loving son of the late Ralph Dempsey Ralston and Opal Delight West Ralston, younger brother of Don Ralston (Frosty, dec'd.) -San Diego area, and Sharon Skimmer (Ted, dec'd.) - Washington State.
Jim spent much of his life in the San Diego area where he became a very accomplished long-distance truck driver and saw most of our spectacular country. He loved what he did and made sure he did it well, so he could earn a good living for his family. In August of 2003 he moved to Sterling, CO to live near Jason and family.
Jim meet Mimi at The Denver VA Medical Center in 2004. They married in May of 2005 and he lived in Denver with Mimi until now. During that time Jim wrote the story of his the story of his Grace-filled journey with God, including: 2 to 3 million miles of trucking; service in Vietnam; forced retirement due to health issues; VA Wheelchair Games in: St.Louis, Snowmass, CO, Hawaii and Denver, CO; and especially while being a witness to God's blessings in his life. He called it, ""Jim's Call Of The Road.""
Jim is survived by his wife, Mimi Dowling Ralston, his son Jason Ralston (Rochelle), Grandchildren: Jordan (McKenzie & children: Brooklyen & Christian) Bret, Haley and Zach; his sister Sharon Skinner and brother Don Ralston; nieces and nephews, all of whom he loved very much.
Private Services will be held with Military Honors - Honorably Discharged Sergeant E-5, at Horan & McConaty. A Private Burial will take place on April 17, 2020 at Fort Logan National Cemetery. Due to the Corona Virus only limited family will attend.
