James “Jim” Stephen Stallings, age 75, died peacefully at his home on the early morning of August 27, 2020 surrounded by loving family as he succumbed to the effects of late term cancer.
Jim was born July 25, 1945 in Chicago, Illinois. As a young child his parents relocated to Colorado. Jim lived in the greater Denver area where he worked as a used car dealer and later as an auto broker for his own business, Englewood Auto Brokers, as well as owning his own finance companies, JDL Financial Group, Corp and Metro Auto Funding, Inc.
Survivors include his wife, Becky Stallings of Larkspur, Colorado, Daughter Leigh Margot Guannu (spouse Nyema) of Claremont, California, Daughter Cheri Dawn Joas of Castle Rock, Colorado, Son Jason Robert Stallings (spouse Amy) of Denver, Colorado, and Son Devin Andrew Stallings (spouse Jodi) of Spokane, Washington. Grandchildren include Zenani Guannu, Sedia Guannu, Erich Joas, Ryan Joas, Nicholas Joas, and Adam Joas. Jim is survived by Sisters Lynn Marie Michael of Lakewood, Colorado and Karen Lee Rivet of Denver, Colorado, as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Jim was preceded in death by his mother Mary Kelso Stallings, his father Albert Alberts, and his father Rufus Baus “Boots” Stallings.
A celebration of life will be held at 10:00 am on Thursday, September 10, 2020 at Horan & McConaty, 5303 E. County Line Rd, Centennial, Colorado 80122.
