James "Jimmy" Brannock

July 8, 1992 — September 17, 2022

James Scott Brannock (Jimmy) was born on July 8, 1992 in Fairfax, Virginia. He passed away on September 17, 2022 in Highlands Ranch, Colorado. He leaves behind his parents John and Christina (Chris) Brannock and his rescue dog/best friend Jessie of Highlands Ranch, CO along with his brother Mark of Denver, CO. He is also survived by 8 Aunts, 5 Uncles, 20 first cousins, numerous second and third cousins and all their families.

Jimmy grew up in Chantilly/Herndon, VA until the age of 15 when he relocated with his family to Colorado. He graduated from Rock Canyon, H.S. (Highlands Ranch, CO) in 2010 and from Colorado State University with a Bachelor of Science in 2015. While at Rock Canyon Jimmy played basketball and soccer.

Jimmy loved to play sports and enjoyed playing fantasy football. He attended Coach K’s basketball camp at Duke four times and earned the nickname “Jiminy Cricket” for his lightning fast speed on the court. He like to travel and helped create many family memories in vacations to France, Spain, Mexico, Hawaii, Rehoboth Beach, DE, the Outer Banks of NC, the Carley Connecticut beach house, and a cruise to the Caribbean. He also enjoyed being with friends and family and his dog Jessie.

His passion and favorite sports teams were the Boston Red Sox, the San Diego/LA Chargers and Duke sports teams. He celebrated his 30th birthday at Fenway Park in Boston at a Red Sox/Yankee game.

There will be a celebration of his life at St Andrew United Methodist Church, 9203 S. University Blvd, Highlands Ranch, CO on Friday, October 7th at 3:30pm. A brief inurnment ceremony will follow at the St Andrew United Methodist Columbarium located on the grounds of the church. For those unable to travel the service will be livestreamed from the church with details to follow. Please check back for a Livesteam link.
