James “Jimmy” Joseph Martellaro III, age 60, passed away on November 13, 2021 in Denver, Colorado. Jimmy was born October 17, 1961 in Cheyenne, Wyoming to James and Barbara Martellaro. Jimmy spent his professional career as an Entrepreneur, owning and operating his own automotive dealership. Jimmy married his wife, Vaso Bellis, on October 18, 1986. Jimmy and Vaso went on to have two boys, Nikolaus and Maximus Martellaro.
Some of Jimmy’s favorite pass times included being in the great outdoors golfing, hunting and fishing. He was an avid lover of 70’s music, especially artists such as KISS (the original of course), Ozzy Osborne, Cheap Trick and Elton John. In fact, Elton John was the first concert Jimmy and Vaso attended together, just one month before their wedding. And can't forget about the 80's music he loved, particularly U2 and Def Leppard! Jimmy had a sweet tooth that could be curbed with some ice cream and peanut M&M’s! He also was known by his family for the ability to perfectly quote lines from his favorite movies, especially The Godfather movie series and the original Arthur. He was a die-hard Broncos and Avalanche Fan!
Jimmy is survived by his wife of 35 years, Vaso Martellaro; sons, Nikolaus and Maximus Martellaro; his siblings, Vince Martellaro and Diana Martellaro; his brother Ronnie’s wife, Susan Martellaro; his sister-in-law, Dina Kalasountas (Alex Kalasountas); his brother-in-law, Yiannis Bellis; and his nieces and nephews: Melanie Martellaro, Toni Jo Martellaro, Michael Martellaro, Kandice Martellaro, Markos Kalasountas and Marigo Kalasountas.
Jimmy is preceded in death by his parents, James and Barbara Martellaro; his brother, Ronnie Martellaro and his father-in-law, George Bellis.
