Jan Denise Dent

Jan passed away peacefully in the arms of her husband and daughter on January 9, 2020 at the age of 67 years. She spent her life spreading love, joy and laughter to friends, family and all that knew her. She was known for her vibrant and cheerful personality and touched many people's hearts with her passion for life.

In 1994, she married the love of her life, Jim Dent, who was her soulmate, playmate, and best friend. She had a passion for gardening and making the world around her beautiful, and also providing food for the many animals and birds that resided in her garden. Jan was always enamored by the hummingbirds that visited her garden and was known to feed them by hand.

Jan was a very energetic person and was an avid cyclist. She loved riding on the many bike trails of Colorado and Utah. She loved to explore, travel and dance. She expressed herself artistically using several media, most recently she used sculpture to express her artistry.

Jan is survived by her husband, one child of her own, 3 children through marriage, several grandchildren, 5 brothers and sisters, and legions of friends. She had a full and happy life and will be deeply and forever missed by all.

Family and friends are invited to attend a Celebration of her life on Sunday, January 19, 2020, 12:00pm. The celebration of Jan's life will be held at Horan and McConaty, 7577 West 80th Avenue, Arvada.
