Jan Edward Koudelka, age 69, died in his home in Bailey, Colorado, on February 21, 2025. He was a music producer, flight instructor, and sound engineer, among many other professions during his lifetime.
Jan loved music, flying, river rafting, and traveling to the sun and the beach, especially across our southern border, with his travel buddy, Ann. Jan had a way of making every moment memorable. He had a spirit that was larger than life. Whether you were a longtime friend or a stranger, he always had a smile for you. He had a true love for life.
He is survived by his three sisters, Connie, Patti, and Linda, three nephews, Patrick, Matt, and Michael and three nieces, Nicole, Lilah, and Bellina. He is a great uncle to Anjali, Madeline, Aliana, and Colton. He is also survived by his two companion cats, Presh and Stach, who he adored. He is preceded in death by his parents and by his sister, Sandy, and his brother, John.
Funeral services will take place at Horan & McConaty, 5303 E. County Line Road, Centennial, CO 80122, on Sunday, March 16, 2025, at 11:00 am. Burial services will be private. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Evergreen Animal Protection League, eapl.com.
