Jane Marie Devaney

March 16, 1924 — September 30, 2012

Jane Marie Devaney, of Denver, Colorado died Sunday, September 29, 2012 at Bethany Healthplex Center after a long fight with heart disease. Born in Los Angeles, CA, March 16, 1924, to Constantin and Helen Kauffman. Jane was an excellent student and talented artist; she graduated with honors from Beverly Hills high school. Working in Los Angeles, she was known for her artistic flair at Max Factor studio and later contributed to the war as part of the workforce that manufactured aircraft at McDonnell-Douglas. Soon after the war, she married John B. Devaney and had three children. She was an avid collector and aficionada of New Mexican cuisine and art. Her love of horse racing, gold, and tennis made her a tireless fan every weekend. When not engaged in sports, she was a voracious reader. Her contributions of her original works of art to the Denver Alzheimer's Association were auctioned at a recent benefit. Jane is survived by her son Pat, her daughter Helen, two grandchildren and one great-grandchild. Please share your memories of Jane and condolences with her family by signing the Guestbook below.
