Jane B. Gagel

Jane Blake Pope Gagel passed away peacefully on October 6, 2013 in Greenwood Village, Colorado. She was a resident of the Kansas City area until moving to the Denver area in 1995. Jane attended the University of Kansas where she was a Chi Omega, and was a life member of KU Alumni. She was also a member of the Peace Pipes Chapter of DAR, the Daughters of the American Revolution. Jane is survived by her son Kurt and Marion Gagel of Leawood, KS, daughter Pam Gagel and Annie Hoskinson, and daughter Gretchen Gagel and Dan McComb; her sister Jo Ann Parkins of Leawood, KS; her four grandchildren, Clint Gagel and wife Ashley of St. Louis, MO, Heather Gagel Holmes and husband Michael of Springhill, KS, and Regan and Holden McComb of Denver; and five great-grandchildren. Donations in her memory may be made to the Denver Botanic Gardens, where her mother, Gwen Pope, volunteered for many years (1007 York St, Denver, CO 80206, www.botanicgardens.org).
