Jane Elizabeth Markel

Jane Elizabeth Markel of Greenwood Village, Colorado passed away on November 11, 2018 at the age of 85.

Jane is survived by her children, Tom (Helene) Markel, Maureen (Dennis) McCarthy, Steve (Nancy) Markel, Kim (Scott) Herman, and Mary Jane Markel; grandchildren, Thomas Markel, III, James & Peter Markel, Anne Markel, Kathryn (Mark) McLaughlin, Timothy (Britney) McCarthy, Andrew (Alexandra) McCarthy, Mary McCarthy, Kara (Matt) Franksted, Monica Herman, Michael Herman, Daniel Herman, Tim (Caitlin) Markel, Matt (Jane) Markel, Janet (Reed) Gillis, Mary (Kosta) Rosatos, Christine (Tim) McCormack; great grandchildren, Hannah Markel, Dylan Markel, Chloe Gillis, Laney Gillis, Demitri Rosatos, Cecilia Rosatos, Jack McCormack, Aiden McCormack, Lucas McCormack, Geneiveve Markel, Max Markel, Charlie Markel, Madeline Fransted, Aurora Fransted, Kaleigh McLaughlin, Claire McCarthy-Brooker, Charles Dennis McCarthy, Peter Andrew McCarthy; sister, Roseanne Olsen; nieces and nephews, Shawn Privitera, Dan Privitera, Mark Privitera, Debbie Kilroe, Dan Hyslop, Dave Hyslop, Tim Hyslop, Terri Hyslop, Anne Hyslop, Katie Hyslop, Mimi Markel, Monnie Markel, Tim Markel and John Markel. She is preceded in the death by her husband, Thomas O’Brien Markel; parents, Grace and Mark Hyslop; siblings, Anita Hyslop, James Hyslop, David Hyslop and Dan Hyslop.

Jane’s family will greet friends and family at a Visitation, Wednesday, November 14, 2018 beginning at 4:30 PM until 7:30 PM with the Recitation of the Rosary at 5:30 PM both at The Gardens at St. Elizabeth, 2825 West 32nd Avenue, Denver, Colorado. A Funeral Mass will be held on Thursday, November 15, 2018 at 10:15 AM at The Gardens at St. Elizabeth, 2825 West 32nd Avenue, Denver, Colorado.

Jane will be laid to rest at Holy Sepulcher Cemetery in Orange, California.
