Janet ""Grandma Jan"" Raczka

It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Janet Kay Raczka. In hope we believe that she is now in heaven with her savior. Janet was 67 when she breathed her last on June 25, 2016 at 1:15 am and lost her fight with cancer. Janet lived in Littleton Colorado for 36 years and was born in Leaf River Illinois on November 15, 1948 to Wilson ""Red"" Baker and Agnes ""Aggie"" Baker. Janet was born in a small town setting and displayed small town values throughout her life. She always displayed Red's joy and vigor for life and Aggie's grace and love for her family. Janet lived her life to the fullest and was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother, and Broncos fan. Jan displayed her strong family values throughout her life and imparted them with grace upon her family. She had a special relationship with her siblings Phil Baker and Cathy Sisto. She met the love of her life, Edward Raczka in college and raised a wonderful family of Ethan Raczka, Megan Amos, and Lindsay Raczka. She had special times together with her girls going to horse shows and watching them blossom into women. She had a strong influence in Ethan's life providing him with values of unconditional love and was always there for counsel and advice. A little later in life she was reunited with her daughter Ellen Dowdy and found a deeply missed part of her life in her daughter. Ellen was a bright ray of light that completed the family. Janet was instrumental behind the scenes helping with her husband's podiatric practice. Jan and Ed spent 43 wonderful years together in marriage. Jan and Ed loved each other unconditionally and completely. Jan was the bedrock of her immediate family. She was always able to pull the family together through hard times. Her grace was abundant and unfailing. Most importantly, Janet loved her Lord Jesus Christ with all of her heart and faithfully accepted his atoning work for her salvation. She was a faithful follower of Christ and shined his love to others through her life and works. Janet is survived by her husband Edward Raczka; her children, Ethan Raczka, Megan Amos and her husband Jason Amos, Lindsay Raczka and Ellen Dowdy and her husband Garrett Dowdy; her grandchildren, Adelaide Raczka, Brecker Raczka, Alexandria Dowdy, Ava Amos, and Emma Amos; her siblings, Phillip Baker and Cathy Sisto; and her beloved dog, Riley Raczka.
