Janet ""Jan"" Salley

Janet (Jan) Salley, born November 11, 1940, died peacefully in her home December 14, 2013 in Littleton, CO. She is survived by her loving husband of 31 years, Bill Salley, sons Roy and Randall Thurmon; step-sons Kurt and Scott Salley; siblings Jane Johnson and Steven Montony; 11 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren; along with all their loving spouses. Jan is preceded in death by her brother, Don Montony and was daughter to Lela and Eugine Montony. Born in Ft. Collins, CO., Jan moved to Denver at the young age of 3 and graduated from Denver East High School in 1958. Jan worked as a vivacious and loving Training Instructor for various telecom companies and enjoyed traveling the world both for work and pleasure. Jan had a joy for life that was contagious. Never did you see her without a smile on her face, a song on her lips and a little swagger to her step. She was blessed to be loved by many and her strength and courage will never be forgotten. The boundless love she shared with Bill was astonishing and true. Jan was a devout Christian and her love for the Lord inspired her to live as she did. Visitation is on Saturday from 8:30-9:30 AM with Service to follow at 10:00 AM, both at Horan & McConaty Family Chapel, 3101 S. Wadsworth Blvd., Lakewood, CO 80227. Interment is at Fairmount Cemetery. In lieu of flowers we ask that you please donate to the Denver Hospice.
