Janette P. Gilliam

Janette P. Gilliam, 84, of Castle Rock, Colorado, passed away on June 6, 2015. She was preceded in death by the love of her life, her husband James E. Gilliam. She is survived by her daughters, Jan Angella Gilliam and Mary Ann Carter (Michael Carter). Janette has three grandchildren, Katie Perry, Stephen Perry and Jason Perry. She also has two great grandchildren, Jarren Simmons (Katie Perry) and Dylan Newman (Stephen Perry). Sheila Sievers (Joseph Sievers) is Janette's sister. Nephews are Michael Talbot, Scott Talbot, Kreison Eamsin and Jason Sievers. Scott and Ranae Talbot have two daughters, Sammy and Katie. Janette is also survived by her brother Carroll, sister-in-law Francis, and many nieces and nephews. Janette was a lovely woman, with a smile that would light up our hearts. She loved her family and treasured the times spent together. She was especially known for her baking and cooking. Her Swiss steak was a favorite for dinner, and her biscuits and gravy were a breakfast treat. Her husband especially loved her peanut butter cookies. She said she had probably baked millions of them!
