Janice ""Jan"" Jean Eppelsheimer of Littleton Colorado, daughter of Florence and Erwin Burgardt, passed away on Easter Sunday (March 27, 2016) after dinner with her family. She was 79. Jan is survived by her daughters Lynette Smischny of Pelican Rapids, MN, married to Ron Smischny, Darcie Coy of Lakewood, CO, married to Joseph Coy, and Denise Westall of Parker, CO; grandchildren Eric, Rachel, Sara, Reed, Ryan and Tyler; and sister Muriel Hinrichs of Walker, Minnesota. Jan's sister Myrna preceded her in death. She is also survived by her extended family of nieces and nephews and her brother-in-law Jim Hinrichs who she viewed as a brother. Jan was an avid golfer and was lucky enough to have a lifelong group of friends born out of their mutual love of the game. She was a long time member of Pinehurst Country Club, and when she wasn't on the golf course she spent time traveling and attending birthday lunches with friends, gardening, devouring mystery novels, and spending time with her children and grandchildren. She rarely missed a Broncos game (win or lose), and attended the annual Friends of the Littleton Library and Museum Craft Fair without fail. One of her favorite places on earth is Maroon Bells just outside of Aspen which may very well be her final resting place. Services will be held April 14, 2016 at 11:00am at Horan & McConaty, 3101 S. Wadsworth Blvd. in Lakewood. A light lunch will be served after the memorial service.
