Janice Myers

Jan, 79 years old, passed away on February 4, 2021 after a short illness. Jan was born in Erie PA and has lived in Arvada, CO for 52 years. She was at peace at home with her three children, Kim Keen (Steve), Karen Myers, and Dan Myers (Gretchen), and her husband of 59 years, Art Myers. Jan has 3 grandchildren, Clarissa Keen, Nate Keen, and Jules Myers, and 3 sisters; Martha ‘Frankie’ Franke of Erie PA., Sarah Franke of Erie PA, and Roberta Franke of Pittsburg PA.

Jan graduated from McDowell High School in Erie, Pa. in 1959. While she was raising 3 children she was able to earn her Bachelor of Fine Arts, University of Colorado; Phi Beta Kappa in 1978.

Jan was an accomplished pastel artist. Her landscapes captured the vibrant colors and the endless space of the Southwest. Her passion for art and travel provided an unlimited opportunity for inspiration. Jan will continue to delight people in the community with her artwork in both public and private collections.

A memorial service will be held at a date yet to be determined at Good Shepard Presbyterian Church in Northglenn, CO. In lieu of flowers, please send donations to the Ghost Ranch - Education & Retreat Center - Abiquiu, NM
