Janice Kay Teasdale, age 81, of Aurora, Colorado; passed away from cancer at home on August 30, 2020 surrounded by family.
Janice was born to parents Vital (Red) Morin and Ellen Morin in Escanaba, Michigan on April 25, 1939. She graduated from Lake Orion High School, class of 1957.
She married Douglas J Teasdale in 1960 and they lived together in Aurora, Colorado for the past 50 years. Janice is survived by her husband Douglas, her children and their spouses, daughter - Cheryl Teasdale and Steve Kaiser and son - Craig Teasdale and Stacy Teasdale. She is also survived by 5 grandchildren (Cassandra, Stephanie, Melissa, Dylan and Katie), one great-grandchild (Sierra) and her sister Jeanne Imboden. She loved and cherished and loved all of her family deeply.
Janice’s life started growing up in the small community of Lake Orion Michigan. That simple Michigan life changed quickly once she married Doug who was in the Air Force. She spent her 20’s moving numerous times as part of being an Air Force wife. The First big move was to Fairbanks, Alaska where Cheryl was born and six years later finding herself in Japan, where Craig was born.
Janice also had a very accomplished career as a professional secretary and event planner. Her years as a Secretary at New Holland in Denver came with many accolades including Secretary of the year from the Professional Secretary’s Association (PSA). She would go on to become an officer of the PSA. Her second career took her into a different field as an Event Planner for the Association of Operating Room Nurses.
When Janice wasn’t working, she loved camping. Her and Doug spent over 40 yrs enjoying the many aspects of owning an RV and exploring. She was also passionate about volunteering for different causes like Military Veterans and being the HOA president.
What she will be most remembered for is her love of her family. She was especially proud of her grand and great grandchildren. She made sure the family always got together to spend as much time as they could with one another. She would have loved the fact that her children and grandchildren were right by her side when she passed.
