Janie LaVerne Whyte, 77, passed away March 11, 2008, in Denver, Colorado. She was born July 24, 1930, in Anson, Texas, a daughter of George William and Eula Mae Townsend Hambrick. Janie is survived by her beloved husband of 61 years, James Walter Whyte, Jr., of Denver; daughters, Mary Jane Whyte; Anna Mae Carp; and Anita Marie Geleff; son-in-law, Alan M. Gelleff; son, Timothy Andrew Whyte; daughter-in-law, Renee J. Whyte; daughter-in-law, Barbra J. Whyte; 15 grandchildren: Lisa, Michelle, Laura, Stan, Wesley, Kris, Josh, Jenny, James, Elizabeth, Mandy, Sahra, Joseph, Matthew, Andrew and Christine; 15 great-grandchildren: Pasley, Nastaha, Madison, Ryan, Liza, Kerstain, Kersandra, Quentin, Alan, Aaliyah, Damien, Logic, Layla, Marcus and an infant (due anyday); brothers: William Hambrick, Johnny McBride and Fred Flemming. Janie was preceded in death by daughter, Anna Belle Whyte; son, James William Whyte; sister, Dorthy Chambers; and a brother, Ricky McBride. A visitation will be held at Horan & McConaty, 3101 So. Wadsworth Blvd, in Lakewood, on Tuesday, March 18, 2008, from 12Noon-6:00pm. The Funeral Service for Janie will be held at Sloan's Lake Community Church, 2796 Utica Street, Denver, on Wednesday, March 19th, at 11:00am. Burial will be at Fort Logan National Cemetery, 3698 So. Sheridan Blvd, also on Wed. at 1:00pm. Please gather at Staging Area ""C"" by 12:50pm.
