Janine Ann Egging, 81, of Broomfield, Colorado, passed away October 7, 2017. She was born March 6, 1936 in South Bend, Indiana to Alex and Gertrude Harrison. Janine attended Akron University, graduating with a degree in Chemistry. After graduation, she moved to Sterling, Colorado where she worked at the local hospital. It was here she met Leonard W. Egging, who she later married. For years she worked as a Medical Technician, retiring from North Suburban Medical Center. She enjoyed watching sports and loved attending the sporting activities and events of her children and grandchildren. After Leonardâs passing in 1996, Janine helped to create the Golden Ladies Widow Activity Group in Broomfield. Janine is survived by three sons, Guy (Traci) Egging, Doug (Kim) Egging, Brian (Melinda) Egging; six grandchildren, Brooke, Luke, Nolan, Karli, Anita and Craig; and brother, Robert Harrison. Preceded in death by her husband Leonard and brother, Patrick Harrison. A viewing will be held from 5-7pm followed by the Rosary at 7pm, on Tuesday, October 10, 2017 at the Horan & McConaty Family Chapel, 9998 S. Grant Street, Thornton. Funeral Mass will be held at 10:30am, on Wednesday, October 11, 2017 at Nativity of Our Lord Catholic Church, 900 W. Midway Blvd., Broomfield, CO 80020 Burial will be held at Fort Logan National Cemetery at a later date.
