Jason Michael Olson

Jason Michael Olson of Ringgold, Georgia passed away in Denver, Colorado on August 14, 2016 at the age 33. He was surrounded by his family and passed away peacefully after a long, courageous battle with cancer. Always quick with the comeback, Jason was sure to leave you laughing. After high school, Jason followed in his father's footsteps and joined the Marine Corps. He traveled the world and met many new friends in the adventure. After the Marines, Jason settled in Colorado where his family resided. He loved a good game, whether that is electronic or not. He was a loving father, caring friend and an amazing brother. Jason is survived by the lights of life, his son, Logan Olson and daughter, Hunter Olson. Also surviving are his mother, Julie Olson; sister, Valerie; maternal grandmother, Beverly Elder; uncle, Mike Elder and his wife, Kim, and their children, Mandy and Josh; aunt, Barb Little and her husband, Dean; uncle, Mark Elder and his wife, Dawn, and their children Hannah, Laura and Sarah; uncle, Scott Olson and his wife Jolene, and their children Jennifer and Ben; aunt, Becky Olson and partner, Vickie Powers; and uncle, Jim Olson and partner, Chad Waltz, and their daughter, Allison. Jason was preceded in death by his father, Mike Olson. Jason will be buried at Fort Logan National Cemetery. Service arrangements are currently pending. In lieu of flowers, memorials are being collected for Jason's family to make a future contribution in his honor to a charity of their choice.
