Jay Kerk

Jay L. Kerk passed away unexpectedly due to a motorcycle accident on CO-285 in Turkey Creek Canyon on April 17, 2022. Jay was born to John Howard Kerk and Alice Marie Kerk on June 21, 1962, in Denver, Colorado, where he was the youngest of his three siblings.

Jay graduated from Lakewood High School. He went on to further his education and obtained a degree in art from Rocky Mountain College of Art and Design. He became an engineer of information technology where he worked in the profession for 30+ years. Jay met the love of his life Julie, where they were happily married for 33 years. Jay resided in Arvada, Colorado with his wife where they raised their daughter, Madison together.

To know Jay was to love Jay. He was kind, loving, intelligent, generous, patient, and a jack-of-all-trades. Jay lived each day to its fullest and with a smile on his face. Some of his favorite things to do was to go camping, fishing, hunting, boating, spending time with his beloved family and friends, and often tinkering on various projects.

To honor Jay’s wishes, he will be cremated and taken to Lake McConaughy, Nebraska where he longed to be.

His memory will forever remain a part of our hearts.
