Jay Austin Kershaw

With joy and sadness we announce the passing of beloved husband, father and grandfather Jay Kershaw, from natural causes, age 89, at his current residence of Covenant Village. A man of great faith and voice, he now walks with Jesus as a citizen of heaven and a member of the choir! Born in Peoria, IL to late Austin and Ethel Kershaw. Jay grew up in Minneapolis, MN, attended South High, served in the US Air Force and graduated from the University of MN, Electrical Engineering. He worked at Sperry Univac, Control Data and Williams Sound, all in the Twin Cities. Preceded in death by his brother Max. Survived by his wife of 63 years, Dorothy, son Kevin (Patty) Kershaw of Highlands Ranch, CO and daughter Mary (Jeff) Miller of Hamilton, MA; sister Grace Lawrence; granddaughters Amanda Miller, Jennifer and Renee Kershaw. Memorial Service, Sunday, February 2, 2014, 1:00 pm, Covenant Village of Colorado (Smith Hall), 9153 Yarrow St., Westminster, CO 80021. Interment will take place at Fort Logan National Cemetery.
