JB spent time at Blue Cross Blue Shield, Storage Tek, and his own Time Rentals for a year, then Martin Marietta, and CW Electronics. JB and Marian were married in 1956. They would have celebrated 53 wonderful years this March. Marian stood beside him through everything from the good to the bad. She was at his bedside till the last breath. She put up with JB through everything. JB and Marian were blessed with 5 kids; Linda, Bryant, Kathleen, Matthew, and Diane. As of February 2009, they have 17 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren. JB received his ""degree"" from the school of hard knocks â 22 years in the Air Force. His major was then called Records Management â which became Information Management and his minor was Publishing. While at Martin Marietta, JB had the opportunity to develop and operate the first ever automated publishing system, automatically composing text, merging graphics, and outputting in black and white on a high speed laser printer. He was the Project Manager and that was his final ""fun"" job. JB retired from Martin Marietta, January 1, 1989. He was not a great salesman, selling Macintoshes and DOS computers during '89 â '93, but did managed to make a living and was in the million dollar sales club during that time. After retirement from the Air Force, and while working at Blue Cross Blue Shield as Manager of Administrative Systems, JB was a member of the Association of Records Managers and Administrators (ARMA) and served as the Chair of an International Micrographics Seminar that was held here in Denver, then as Vice President and one and a half terms as President. At the annual International Organization meeting in Washington, D.C. in 1978, four members received the Award of Merit and JB was one of them. The following year, the Rocky Mountain Chapter awarded JB their Distinguished Service Award.
