J. E. (Jules) Gossanyi of Littleton, Colorado. Husband to Ann Gossanyi (predeceased) and Father to Eric Gossanyi (predeceased), Karen Norris and son in law John Norris, Grandfather of five and Great-grandfather to three passed away peacefully on the 17th of October 2024.
Jules was born on April 24, 1936 to Julius and Maria Gossanyi in Passaic, New Jersey, where he graduated highschool in 1954 before getting drafted into the Army. Upon leaving the Army Jules continued his education at the Community College of Denver, receiving an associates degree in data science in 1971.
Jules met his wife Ann, in New Jersey where they were married on January 13 of 1962. Later they welcomed their first child, Eric, into the world on February 1, 1963. Soon after, the family moved to Brighton, Colorado where their daughter Karen was born on March 9. They ended up moving to Southwest Denver in 1978 and in 1979 the family settled in Littleton, Colorado.
Jules worked at Martin Marietta (Lockheed Martin) from the early 70’s retiring in 1998. Jules worked on various projects, his overall proudest achievement was the Viking Lander on Mars in July of 1976.
Jules was an active member in his community of Governor's Ranch, where he was president of the HOA for over 15 years and continued to be a member of the pool committee for 3 more years. He also made time for his poker club which would happen once a month and lasted for over 30 years. Jules was also a devoted Yankees and Giants fan, in which he shared the love for the sport/teams with his Grandchildren.
Jules' biggest wish was to have a big family which he achieved with his family in the States and also keeping in touch and visiting his family in Slovakia every couple of years.
Throughout his lifetime, Jules has cultivated many friendships, childhood, to present, and has been a guiding hand to his family and those around him. He will be deeply missed. Jules is survived by his daughter Karen and her husband John, his Grandchildren Joshua, Eduard, Alexandria, Kaitlin, and Faith and his Greatgrandchildren Benjamin, Phoebe, and Theodore.
