Jean was born in De Pere, Wisconsin on November 21, 1924 and died on April 5, 2011 at the age of 86. She was preceeded in death by her parents Bob & Frieda Carstensen and her husband of 56 years Air Force Senior Master Sargent Merlin John Diekvoss. Jean graduated from Ripon High School where her yearbook deemed her the ""Sweetheart of Ripon High"". She met and married Merlin Diekvoss in 1945. Jean was a loving wife, relocating many times to support her husband's career in the military. She enjoyed being involved with her daughters in ballet, piano, Brownies, Poms, Girl Scouts and cultural events. Jean was a gifted quilter, gardener, incredible hostess & cook, as well as an avid reader. Jean enjoyed her job and friends at Sears until retiring in 1981. Jean is survived by her sisters, Marie Rodenkirch & Donna Zahn; daughters, Marnie (John) Fuller, Linda (Paul Parish) Diekvoss & Barbara (Ron) Grover; along with 5 grandchildren, Troy, Kelly, Lysa, Amy & Kevin and 6 great-grandchildren, Dain, Chelcee, Tessa, Corey, Katelyn & Jenna. Services celebrating Jean's life will be held at Horan & McConaty Family Chapel, 9998 Grant Street, Thornton, on Sunday April 10 at 2:00 pm.
