Jean M. Donner

Jean has left us to continue her journey in another place at the age of 64 years, 8 months and 18 days. She took her last breath in arms of the love of her life and husband of over 44 years, Bob. She is preceded in death by her son, David Donner, brother, George Cook and her parents, Walter and Arda Cook. She is survived by her husband, Bob; daughter, Tanja Smith, Arvada, CO; sons, Michael (Jenn) Donner, Tulsa, OK; and Daniel (Angela) Donner, Indianapolis, IN; granddaughters, Abigail and Emily Smith, Arvada, CO; Elizabeth Donner and baby sister Donner who is due to join us in February 2012, Indianapolis, IN; siblings, Artie Bennington, Pauline Chorley and Bert Cook.

She was an amazingly strong woman who loved her family more than anything, even more than her gardening! Her devotion to her husband, Bob, will always be an inspiration. Her legacy, however, is in the eyes and lives of her four granddaughters. She said more than once how it made her sad knowing she was going to miss seeing them grow up and all the experinces that come with life journeys for each of them. But we do know that Grammy really will be with them through all their joys, sorrows and wonder of those journeys; watching, guiding, smiling so very proudly and loving them, every single step of the way.

She will be missed greatly but knowing the Truth that her spirit shall live on forever is of comfort in this time of sadness. We are all blessed by the life of this beautiful woman known as Jean, wife, Mom, Grammy, sister, aunt and friend.

A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, November 19, 2011 at 11:00 A.M. at Horan & McConaty Family Chapel, 11150 East Dartmouth Avenue, Aurora, Colorado 80014.
