Jean Hadley was born Jean Louise Keller on August 15, 1943, to Helen and Joseph Keller in Denver, Colorado and passed peacefully on April 28, 2023. She grew up on 30th and Grape Street, in Denver, and graduated from East High School in 1961. She married her High School Sweetheart, William Kulling in 1962 and raised two children (Debbie and Billy). Jean taught Montessori School in a Convent for many years.
Jean and her young family enjoyed vacations to neighboring states, taking in many adventures and fun times. The family enjoyed dirt biking, camping, and boating on Lake Powell with many friends. There are many stories, nearly all good, that have been told over the years.
Later Jean divorced and on March 31, 1990, met her soulmate, Robert (Bob) Hadley. They blended their families and started their blessed journey. Jean and Bob were married on June 15, 1998, on Kaanapali Beach in Maui, Hawaii. They enjoyed traveling and went to several interesting places throughout much of the U.S. and especially enjoyed Victoria Island, Vancouver, Canada, New York, Boston, Ireland, England, and France. Often, they would take these trips with family or friends. They would frequently travel to Arizona where Bob’s parents lived. Jean loved them and they loved her like a daughter.
Jean, being as crafty and creative as she was, loved to sew and belonged to several groups over the years. One group that she loved was called ACT (All Comforting Things). The group would donate their creations to various charities, and she took great pride in her creations and their cause. She also had a group of friends that would participate in “Sit and Stitch” where one of her friends would host lunch and a nice day for the ladies. She so looked forward to attending those monthly gatherings. Another group of her close friends were all ladies that went to high school together. They called themselves the Fab 5. They would often have lunch, card parties and go on a yearly summer trip. Jean’s smile and laugh were irresistible. She was dearly loved by all her friends and family. She was also a talented home decorator. People would often comment on how wonderful her home looked. When Bob first met her, he commented when he entered her townhome, “wow, this looks like a real house!”
Jean is survived by her loving husband Bob Hadley, daughter Debbie Schiff, Son William Kulling (Ann), stepson Mark Hadley, stepson Michael Hadley (Chelsea), 9 Grandchildren and 1 Great Grand Son, Sister Karel Drehle (Dutch), Brother Bud Keller (Arlee), Brother in Law Ron Hadley (Carol) and Brother in Law Richard Hadley (Carol), Sister in Law Janice Schlessman (Mark), many nieces and nephews and loving friends.
