Jean Heiman

January 6, 1949 — March 11, 2023

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Jean Marie (Stewart) Heiman, widow of Richard Andrew Heiman, with whom she shared her life for 34 years. Jean was born in Somerville, MA to Mary E. (Cody) and Donald J. Stewart on January 6, 1949, and departed on March 11, 2023, in her Centennial, CO home. She was the best Mom, Sister, Auntie, Nanny, and Friend in the whole wide world!

Jean retired early due to medical issues 20 years ago after a lengthy career with Fortis Benefits as an account manager. Jean loved shopping, especially when there was the thrill of a bargain or a coupon for something she had been keeping her eyes on. Jean loved good food especially eating out, her favorite restaurants were Perry’s Steakhouse, Los Dos Potrillos, Big Bill’s Pizza and The Copper Pot. Her snacks were always close by on a table Coke, chips, See’s candies, strawberry licorice, and Junior Mints were her favorites!

Jean enjoyed watching her grandsons Timothy and Maxie compete in sports throughout the years. She was competitive, and the umpires and referees quickly became very familiar with her.

Jean is survived by her daughter Bonnie Jean Heiman, stepson Jeff Heiman, and 4 grandsons that she absolutely loved with every ounce of her heart: Timothy (Joselyn) and their two sons Timothy Jr. and Adrian Ealy of Castle Rock, CO, Lawrence Maxwell III (Maxie) of Aurora, CO,  Justin Heiman of Florida and Evan Heiman of Illinois;  her sister Marilyn Pickett of Somerville, MA, sister-in-law Mary Stewart of Hudson, MA, and brother–in-law Ronald Heiman of Anaheim, CA. Also, her best friends Ellen McGinty of East Hampstead, NH, Mary Racine of Centennial, CO, Barbara Peterson of Tucson, AZ, and numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews.

In lieu of flowers donations can be made to St. Jude’s, Denver Dumb Friends League, or The Joanne Finke Cancer Foundation.

A celebration of Jean’s life will be held in both Colorado and Massachusetts, dates to be determined.
