Jean D. Michas

Jean D. Michas, born October 26, 1935, in Chicago, IL to Thomas and Bessie Mashos.

Jean graduated from the University of Denver with a bachelor’s degree in education. 

She married the love her life Nicholas G. Michas on August 28, 1955, and moved to Denver, Colorado with Nick’s parents and brothers. Together they opened/operated a variety of retail businesses while raising four children. 

Jean was witty with a wonderful, sharp sense of humor, enjoyed reading, word puzzles and spending time with Nick and her family. She had a magnetic personality and was in turn loved by all who were fortunate enough to know her. 

Jean was a member of St. Catherine Greek Orthodox Church.

Jean is survived by her 4 children Vicki, Gus, Jim and his wife Kristin, and Deborah, 12 grandchildren, 8 great grandchildren (with one more on the way). 

She was pre-deceased by her parents Thomas and Bessie, and her brother Thomas. 

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Jean’s eternal memory to St. Catherine Greek Orthodox Church for the beautification fund.
