Jeanette Andrea (Lopez) Clanton, 66, of Aurora, Colorado was born into this life on January 2, 1957, and passed into eternal life on November 27, 2023, in Denver, Colorado, and is now with her mother Pauline Lopez. Jeanette was survived by her husband of 39 years, Ronnie Clanton, her sister Roberta Lopez, her two dogs Bingo and Russell, and many aunts, uncles, and cousins.

Jeanette was a large part of many lives across the country through her work at United Airlines Employee Credit Union and Alliant Credit Union. Most recently Jeanette contributed to multiple small businesses, women and minority owned business through certifying those businesses enabling them to bid on government contracts.

Jeanette’s family and friends will miss her most for her loving energy and her big, beautiful smile. Her smile always had a way of lighting up the hearts of everyone around her. She still fills our hearts with love and sincerity. She was truly and will always be a blessing to all of us.

Jeanette’s husband expresses to Jeanette, “You were always there in support of us. No matter what the need was, your wisdom helped us get through. I thank the Lord God Our Father for the 40 years you blessed my life.” Jeanette’s sister expresses to Jeanette, “You were, and will always be a force in my life that could and should not be contained. You taught me so much about how to be a better person, how to let others into my life, and how to be strong.” In Jeanette’s own words taken from a note she wrote on her phone, “I could not find words strong enough or powerful enough to express how I currently or how I have felt for the past 66 years. All I can say is thank you, thank you for giving us the sense of purpose, thank you for giving us the sense of worth and thank you for loving us more than you loved yourself.”

In lieu of flowers, we would love to see you and your family at the Celebration of Jeanette’s life on Friday, December 15th, at the Denver Police Protective Association (PPA) Event Center, 2105 Decatur Street, at 3:00 – 5:00 PM. At this celebration we welcome all to share their memories, feelings, and stories about Jeanette. We look forward to seeing you there.
