Jeanne Markley

December 31, 1923 — January 25, 2013

Jeanne was the fourth of five girls born and raised in Denver, Colorado to Helen and Sidney Cook. She graduated from East High School. Her goal in life was to marry a nice boy and raise a family, which she did May 29, 1941 when she married Loren Glen Markley in Leadville, where he was employed building Camp Hale. The couple resided in Denver and Casper, Wyoming until settling in Littleton in 1957, where they raised four children. Jeanne was active in her church, bridge club, garden club and antique clubs. She is survived by four children, Loren Jr., Rebecca, Chris and Richard, 8 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren. Jeanne was a warm and true friend, a kind and honest soul, a loving mother and grandmother. She was cherished by her entire family and she will be greatly missed. She spoke often of the character, strength and accomplishments of her grandchildren. She had immense pride and enormous love for her family, and always said her family was her greatest achievement. Jeanne's final wish was to be cremated and there was to be no memorial services. Please share your memories of Jeanne online at www.horancares.com
