Jeffrey Howard Koontz passed away unexpectedly on December 24, 2015. He was born on March 25, 1963 to Howard and Phyllis Koontz in Lincoln, Nebraska, and grew up in Colorado and in Nebraska. He graduated from Tri County High school in DeWitt, Nebraska in 1981. Survivors include his wife Alice; step-children Jason Baggs and Darcee Losky; grandchildren Sapphire Losky, Raven Losky, Eden Losky, Madeira Losky; parents Howard & Phyllis Koontz; siblings Sue (Keith) Nelson, Lori (Bill) Malone, Jim (Jeanine) Koontz; numerous nieces and nephews. Jeff was the quintessential family man, a devoted husband, stepfather, grandfather, son, brother, uncle and friend. He moved to Las Vegas in 1994 looking for a different direction in his life. He met Alice within days of his move, and she became his wife in in 1995. Without hesitation Jeff embraced her entire family and loved more than anything to spend time with family and friends. He worked in the dairy industry since the age of 19, most recently as a route driver for Meadow Gold Dairy in Denver. He spent a five year stint as a Sprinkler Fitter from 2000-2005. Jeff spent his leisure time playing golf. Rain or sun he could be found out on the course having fun with his friends, many of whom were members of the Men's Club at Buffalo Run Golf course A Celebration of the Life of Jeff Koontz will be held Saturday, Feb 6, 2016 at 2:00PM.
