Jeffrey Brian Whitacre

Jeffrey Brian Whitacre, 39, of Castle Rock, Colorado passed away on December 18, 2012 surrounded by his family. Jeff was born January 11, 1973 in Millington, Tennessee. During his 19 year career with Burlington Northern Santa Fe Railroad he and his family spent seven years in Spokane, Washington where he was a Terminal Trainmaster, Division Trainmaster and Terminal Manager. The rest was spent in Denver, where he was a locomotive engineer. Jeff loved camping, boating, riding motorcycles, and spending time with his family. He is survived by his wife of fifteen years, Andrea Harris Whitacre of Castle Rock and his three children, Grace Leeann (10), Abigail Mae (8), and Mason Jeffrey (5); parents Ron and Martha Matheny of Castle Rock; Robert and Rosemary Whitacre of Lakeland, Florida; brother Bob (Melinda) Whitacre of Loveland; Mother-in-law, Deb Harris of Centennial; Brothers-in-law Evan (Lisa) Harris of Denver and Nate (Brittnie) Harris of Castle Rock. A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Friday January 11, 2013 (Jeff's 40th Birthday). The service will be held at The Rock Real Community, 4881 Cherokee Drive in Castle Rock, Colorado beginning at 1:00 PM.
