Jeremy Brett Klimczak

November 29, 1992 — September 3, 2013

Jeremy Brett Klimczak, 20 years old, of Lone Tree CO passed away suddenly. Jeremy was born on November 29, 1992 in Chicago IL to Jeff and Pat (Raymond) Klimczak. Jeremy moved with his family from Chicago to Lone Tree, Colorado when he was 5, and attended school at Acres Green Elementary School, Cresthill Middle School and then Highlands Ranch High School. During his grammar school and middle school years he played football, basketball and flag football. He enjoyed football so much he played with the AYL Warriors Football team for 5 years before playing in High School. He joined the Cub Scouts at 8, and enjoyed many outings including being able to stay overnight in the mountains in a Quinzhee (an ice hut) he built with his brother. Jeremy’s path in Scouting led all the way to attaining his Eagle rank, the highest in Boy Scouts, and attained by only 6% of Scouts. An avid guitar player, he teamed with his brother and friends to play in a Classic Rock band, Velocity Rocks. The band played at several venues such as the Denver Aquarium, Lone Tree Park battle of the bands, Oriental Theater, and The Buffalo Rose. During his high school years, in addition to Scouting and the band, he played Football, Lacrosse and Rugby. A starting player in football all four years, he enjoyed the sport, the teambuilding and the friendships. He had committed to CSU Pueblo to play football his first year of college, but a knee injury that year prevented his being able to play. He attended for a year, and then transferred to Metropolitan State University to study Criminal Law in his pursuit of a career in law enforcement. He realized the value of a job early, starting at King Soopers for a year, and had been a Walgreens photo clerk, was part of an office cleaning crew in the evenings and was at Kmart as a loss prevention officer. A shy young man until he knew someone, he nonetheless made fast, deep and loyal friendships, and loved making people laugh whenever and wherever he was. His is survived by his loving parents, Jeff and Pat; his brothers Jason (Christina) Klimczak and Justin Klimczak, Grandparents Diane (late Joseph) Klimczak and (late) Frances and Leonard Raymond. Nephew to John (Mae) Raymond, Carol Spano, Dina Klimczak, Erik (Lisa) Klimczak and Jayme Klimczak. Many cousins and many friends. Visitation Friday, September 13, 2013, 4:00-8:00 PM, Horan & McConaty, 5303 East County Line Road, (one block west of Holly) Centennial, CO 80122.
