On Thursday, February 7, 2019, Jeremy Allen Snook, loving husband, father and grandfather, passed away at the age of 42, after a massive heart attack.
Jeremy was born on November 25, 1976 in Sioux Falls, SD. He was raised by his mother Barbara Eldridge and loving grandparents, Jack and Ruby Snook, as well as uncle Jay Snook. He received his Bachelor of Arts in Theology degree from Colorado Christian University in December 2012. He went on the work towards his Masters in Divinity shortly after, however; Jeremy had a calling to work in the addictions and mental health fields, where he was currently working on his chemical addictions counselor license.
Jeremy's biggest passion was his family and children. Jeremy had Elizabeth, and soon after adopted Tiara. On August 28, 2016, he married Lindsey Rae McCarthy. He rarely called Lindsey by her name, she was lovingly known to him as Ginger. He deeply loved and cherished her and was not afraid of reminding her and the world of his adoration. Together, Lindsey and Jeremy continued to raise Korina Mae Snook and had a young son Levi Scott Snook.
Jeremy had a passion for religion and politics; he was never one to stay quiet about his faith or ideals. He was a proud Christian and lived his life according to God's will. In his teenage years he enjoyed and was highly successful in athletics, namely track and soccer. Jeremy was highly involved in the recovery community and sponsored many men thru the 12 steps. He was sarcastic, good humored and extremely goofy at times. Jeremy had a way of making all those who sought help from him feel at ease and inspired. He could talk in a crowded room and everyone would quiet and listen; he spoke in a way that was both exciting and mesmerizing. He was known for his quick wit, his infectious smile, and his kind and compassionate spirit. He focused on his family, his work and helping others. He was a music lover of all types and loved spending time with his children. Korina, 16 years old and Levi, 15 months old were his pride and joy. He was a wonderful, loving father and grandfather.
Jeremy is survived by his wife Lindsey, his children, Korina, Elizabeth, Levi and Tiara; his granddaughters, Ava, Maria and Bellanie; his mother Barbara and his brothers Darrin and Jason, as well several cousins, nieces and nephews and other loving family and friends.
A Celebration of Jeremy's life will be held Friday, February 15, 2019 at 4pm, Horan & McConaty Family Chapel, 5303 E. County Line Road, Centennial, Colorado.
