Jerry Michael Glaze

Jerry Michael Glaze, 79 years old, passed away on December 6, 2017. Jerry grew up in North Denver - he attended Skinner Jr. High School, graduated from North High School, and maintained lifelong friendships with classmates. He joined the Navy, serving in San Diego, CA and graduated from the United States Naval School of Music. After returning to Colorado he began his career as a Beautician at Neusteter's flagship downtown Denver Department store. He became the manager of the Mr. Mack of Neusteter's Salon of Beauty at Brooks Towers - Denver's 1st Residential High-Rise building. He later owned and operated Salon Artressa and The Hair Company in South Denver. Jerry later became interested in investments. As a licensed Securities Advisor he assisted his clients achieve their financial goals using stock market investments, Options trading and Insurance products. Music was always a driving force in Jerry's life. He was a multi-talented musician playing the Piano, Electric Bass, Drums, Flute, Guitar but his ultimate instrument was the trumpet. He played in numerous local bands throughout his career and loved entertaining through music. He was a lifetime member of the Denver Musician's Union. Jerry enjoyed touring the mountains and front range on his motorcycle. A reunion of the Naval Band in San Diego several years ago was the inspiration for a motorcycle road trip to renew friendships with fellow band mates. A former Mr. Colorado candidate, Jerry was an avid body builder his whole life. Graveside Service will be Friday, December 15, 2017, 10:30 AM at held at Fort Logan National Cemetery, Staging Area ""B"", 3698 South Sheridan Boulevard, Denver.
