Jerry McKin

Jerome (Jerry) Leigh McKin passed away on Saturday, November 4th, 2023. He was born in Casper, Wyoming, the son of Richard (Dick) McKin and Leona Swallow McKin.

Jerry studied composition and piano performance at the Mannes School of Music in New York City. He became an accomplished pianist who performed regularly as a soloist and accompanist. But as much as he loved playing the piano, his interest also extended to its complex design. He studied in Los Angeles and became a registered piano technician. He worked in this capacity in Los Angeles, Casper, Toronto, Ontario, Canada and most recently in Denver. He enabled countless pianists to enjoy playing finely prepared pianos.

Jerry was a kind and gentle man who treated everyone with dignity and respect. He loved animals and would often save injured wildlife or any injured animal in need.

He leaves behind his wife Sheila, sister-in-law Anne-Marie, his brother Allan (Peggy), sisters Lois and Leah, many cousins, nephews and nieces, and his beloved cats Abby, Sunny and Finnegan.

As were his wishes, no services will be held.
