Jerry Edward Murphy

Jerry Edward Murphy, beloved husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather, passed away peacefully on December 16, 2023, in Broomfield, Colorado. He was born August 20, 1932, in St. Paul, Minnesota.

Jerry was known for his distinguished career as the General Manager of Manufacturing operations. His dedication and passion for his work were evident throughout his professional journey and he displayed exceptional leadership skills and a tireless work ethic. His commitment to excellence served as an inspiration to his colleagues and made a significant impact on the industry as a whole.

In addition to his successful career, Jerry proudly served in the United States Army. His brave and selfless service will always be remembered with gratitude by all those who knew him.

Jerry loved his wife Pat and their children. He was a devoted family man who leaves behind a legacy of love, compassion, and unwavering support.

Jerry was preceded in death by his adoring wife Patricia Ann Marks Murphy and grandson Joshua Michael Murphy. He is survived by his loving family; daughter Lita Leonard (husband, Shawn); daughter Kathy Lucas (husband, Jeff); son Mike Murphy (wife, Lori); daughter Susan Rice (husband, Terry); eight grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.

Jerry will be missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him. In this time of grief, may we find solace in the beautiful memories we shared with him and the legacy he leaves behind.

A memorial service honoring his life will be held on Thursday December 21, 2023 at 2:00pm, at Horan & McConaty Funeral Service, 9998 Grant Street, Thornton, Colorado  80229.

Jerry will be laid to rest at Fort Logan National Cemetery, 3698 S. Sheridan Blvd., Denver, Colorado.
