Jerry Wade Owen

Jerry W. Owen, age 67, passed away June 17, 2012. He is preceded in death by his father C. Odell Owen and his mother O. Pearl Owen. Jerry is survived by his children, Leslie (Louis) Richard of Aurora, CO and Darrell (Hazel) Owen of Durango, CO; grandchildren, Louis (Courtney) Richard and Anthony Richard of Aurora, CO and Abigail Owen of Durango, CO; Lifelong Friend and ex-Wife, Joan Owen of Aurora, CO; sisters, Barbara (Rick) Rice of Premont, TX and Patricia (Gary) McLendon of Wichita Falls, TX; uncle, Leonard (Fern) Owen of Healton, OK and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. Jerry grew up in Billings, MT and graduated from Billings West High School in 1963. He loved to fish, hunt and play golf in Montana and Colorado. The majority of Jerry's professional career was as a Project Accountant for Stearns-Roger (30+ years). His job took him from coast to coast in the United States, as well as Hawaii, Puerto Rico, the Philippines, and Ireland. Jerry lived his life with a high degree of integrity and was passionate about the things that he loved which definitely included his children and grandchildren. Jerry had a long term fight with Congestive Heart Failure, Diabetes, Renal Failure and COPD.
