Jerry DeWayne Pickering

Jerry Pickering, 68, passed away Sunday, March 29, 2020 at Lutheran Medical Center in Wheat Ridge, Colorado.

He was born May 2, 1951 to DeWayne and Joy Pickering in Denver, Colorado.

Jerry grew up in Wheat Ridge, Colorado. He graduated in 1969 from Jefferson high school in Edgewater, Colorado. After high school he attended Metropolitan State College in Denver where he graduated with a business degree. Jerry was a self employed entrepreneur. He retired in 2018 and began enjoying spending time with his family, golfing and bowling.

In 1971 Jerry married Kathy, they were just short of their 49th anniversary.

He was preceded in death by his parents DeWayne and Joy.

Jerry is survived by his spouse, Kathy; daughter, Christie (Pete) Balderston; granddaughters, Colbie and Brooke and grandson, Tyler; daughter, Carrie (Matt) Domenico; granddaughter, Ava; daughter, Cassie (Zeke) Hernandez; granddaughter, Ellie and grandsons, Kace and Elijah. He is also survived by his brother Randy (Lynette) Pickering; his sister, Debbie (Mike) Shade and his aunt, Sheila Singleton.

Jerry had many loving in-laws, nieces, nephews and cousins that he adored.

The family will be planning a celebration of life at a later date. Unfortunately the Coronavirus has put all plans on hold.
