Born November 18, 1930 Died July 5, 2011 Beloved husband and partner of Diane Snively and Loving Father to Michael and his wife Tanya Snively, Valerie Snively, Robert and his wife Kim Snively, Robert Jackson, Linda Baker, proceeded in death by Gwendolyn Snively and Clifford Jackson. Grandfather of 17, Crystal Junge, Sophia Reagan, Jessica, Ryan Baker, Christopher Snively, Bryan, Brody Patton, Samuel, Benjamin Snively, Shawn, Joya, Robert Jr, Jonathan, Rayna, Murissa, Clifford Jr, Jennifer Jackson. Great Grandfather of 7, Corbin, Paris Durousseau, Aiden Ries, Emily, Patrick Junge, Lily Baker, Alexander, Dante Jackson. Born in Colorado Springs, Colorado to Emil & Ella Snively, he was raised with 6 brothers and sisters, preceded in death by Samuel, Sherman, Robert and Rebecca, survived by Prudence and Pearl along with the many nieces and nephews. He graduated from high school in Colorado Springs in 1948; he joined the Navy and became an electrical engineer. After the service he attended The University of Colorado, Boulder then went to work for Martin Marietta. He later started with Western Electric/AT&T and was transferred to Aurora where he retired as a Communication Engineer for the FAA projects. As a lover of the mountains and Colorado, he was an avid hiker, fisherman, camper, wood caver, traveler and photographer. In his retirement years he traveled throughout the United States, Canada, Mexico, Europe and China. He enjoyed his ride in a hot air balloon, a glider, rafting on the Mountain Rivers and cruise ships. He also enjoyed making carvings for others, including his church group, family and friends. He will always be remembered for his love, sense of humor, strong will, and sharing with us his love of the outdoors and history. You were a blessing to all of us.
