Jerry "Jd" Lewis

Jerry (JD) Lewis,

73, passed away August 30, 2022, at his residence.

Jerry was born June 26, 1949, to the late Paten Lewis, Jr. and Erma Clack Lewis in Galveston, Texas.

He proudly served our country in the United States Air Force as Sergeant. He obtained an Associate Degree in Business Management and retired from the US Postal Service as Manager of Transportation. Having a strong family bond was the most important thing to him. He was a provider, husband, father, grandfather, brother, nephew and friend. He was very strong minded, caring, fearless and a pioneer. He loved his dogs, bull riding, sports and he LOVED to clean his cars.

He is survived by wife of 48 years, Doris Ann Lewis; children, Isaac Lewis (Rosa Lewis), Ahmad Lewis (Victoria Lewis) and Jamaal Lewis; brother, Charles Lewis (Linda Lewis); sister, Oma Lewis; grandchildren, Aiyana Lewis, Nyla Lewis, Jasiah Lewis, Deidra Stewart, and Shaedon Brinkley; Aunt, Virginia Callis. Mother in law; Mary Kimble, sister in law; Erma J Williams, Norma Evans (Glen), Della Stewart (Bill), Lolita Lowry (Jimmy). Brother in law; Raven Kimble (Nicole), Cedrick Kimble (Haley), Jim McDowell (Pam). Proceeded in death by parents Paten Lewis Jr, Erma Gean Clack Lewis and grandparents; Evan and Leona Clack (Maternal), Paten and Carrie Lewis  (Paternal). Viewing for family and friends will be observed at 10:00am on Friday, September 16, 2022, at Horan & McConaty, 11150 East Dartmouth Ave, Aurora CO 80014.

Funeral Service will be held at 11:00am on Friday, September 16, 2022, from the Chapel of Horan & McConaty, 11150 East Dartmouth Ave, Aurora CO 80014. Reception will follow.
